OUR COMPANY

In 2004 North Texas Surveying, LLC. was established by Michael B. Arthur. For seven years NTS has been serving Collin County and the surrounding areas. Due to customer service and concentration on true and correct surveying practices, North Texas Surveying has grown from a two man company to its present 10 person staff. Prior to this, Mr. Arthur's family, starting with his father, Linwood L. Arthur has been surveying in and around Denton County since 1971.

Professional Experience

With 28 years of experience, Mr. Arthur has provided survey services to a variety of clients throughout Texas. Serving as project manager on many of these projects, Mr. Arthur's duties have incorporated all aspects of project management from research to completion, as well as the coordination of field and office staff. He is proficient in boundary and route surveys, lot calculations and zoning, construction surveys, construction layout, establishing horizontal and vertical control, and preparation of final plats.

Chad Holcomb - Survey Manager / Senior Technician

Mr. Holcomb has over 12 years of experience in all facets of surveying including survey project management and technical analysis. He has supervised project activities for multi-crew survey operations and manages work schedules for multiple projects and coordinated workloads to meet projected deadlines. Mr. Holcomb's greatest talents include: the manipulation of AutoCAD with coordinate geometry. He also has prepared a wide range of topographic, right-of-way, boundary and design surveys. Mr. Holcomb has the remarkable ability to: synthesize complex and diverse information, collect and research data, use intuition and experience to complement data, design work flows and procedures.

Michael L. Swanson-Field Coordinator-Senior Crew Chief / Technician

Mr. Swanson has 15 years of surveying experience. Some of his strengths include training survey crews and the use of data collectors. Both in collection of data and in construction stakeout, he is one step ahead of many other party chiefs. He has extensive experience in survey and crew management and possesses strong "hands on" capabilities with advanced surveying equipment.

He has a thorough knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, boundary surveys, legal descriptions and easement preparation, together with superb problem solving skills related to land surveying activities.
